Ash glaze | A simple, refined glaze full of character
The colors of a glaze made with plant ash have a simple, refined presence that feels somehow nostalgic. Plant ash is ash from burned plants and wood, finely ground and used in the glaze as a coloring component containing carbon. The vessel has an even thickness, and the glazed surface has a soft, moist texture with calm, subdued colors.
Vertical ridges carved into the body add depth to its calm color. Paired with a teacup bearing the same vertical lines, it creates a harmonious tea setting.
